Canadian National Exhibition
The Canadian National Exhibition, better known as ‘The Ex’ to locals, is the event that Toronto’s beloved Exhibition Place is named for. To say there’s a lot to see at the Canadian National Exhibition is an understatement—this is Canada’s biggest annual fair and dates back almost 150 years. The CNE grounds are open from 10 am to midnight (exception: Labour Day - the grounds will be open from 10am to 9pm, and gates will close at 5pm). Things to do at the Canadian National Exhibition include:
- Live music performances
- Walks, talks, and parades
- Classic carnival midway rides and games
- Competitions, tournaments, shows, and exhibits featuring animals, sports, home & garden, food & desserts
- Food trucks and craft beer
- Family-favourite Air Show and an Aerial & Acrobatic Ice-Skating Show
- Markets and shopping
