ACE HOTEL X MAKTABA present BIBLIOTHECA – Toronto

  • The Lobby | Ace Hotel Toronto
  • 51 Camden St.
  • Free

Ace Hotel Toronto is partnering with We Are The Medium to celebrate Arab culture with a special bookshelf pop-up in our lobby. Curated and filled with books by Maktaba Bookshop, the permanent shelf will spotlight diverse voices, stories, and ideas—creating an open library for our community and guests to explore. Join us for the launch event on April 4 at 5PM, with a DJ set by NARCY.

CURATED BY SUNDUS ABDUL HADI FOR MAKTABA BOOKSHOP : “These books were selected to reflect the diverse authorship and readership of deeply-rooted people. Comprised of (mostly) short books that a traveller can read and finish during a trip, this booklist covers a wide range of genres from memoir, fiction, short stories, poetry, children’s books, even including a photobook and a cookbook. The stories, words and ideas in these books are sure to stay with you, even after you’ve put the book back on the shelf for the next reader to enjoy.”
– Sundus Abdul Hadi

Come by, browse the collection, and celebrate culture, literature, and community with us.
