Every Saturday and Sunday, we’re slowing time down poolside — with Balearic beats, ethnic sounds, organic house, and downtempo grooves setting the tone for an effortless afternoon on the Athenian coast.

This Saturday’s sounds are provided by Miss Linenwood.

Miss Linenwood‘s relationship with music began long before she stepped behind the decks, working in PR for some of Athens’ most notable clubs. In late 2010, she met someone who would change everything—a collaborator with fresh ideas and instinctive vision who proposed they form a team: a female DJ duo that would shake up what was then a predominantly male-dominated scene. That’s how TEARDROPS was born, giving Eleana a new way to express her deep love for music in a role she had never imagined for herself.

With over a decade of presence in Athens’ nightlife, Miss Linenwood constantly seeks out fresh sounds rooted in ’70s disco and house music, always on the lookout for new projects that allow her to keep doing what she truly loves. One of the defining moments of her career came in the summer of 2016, when she played at the highly anticipated Odyssia Festival alongside some of the biggest names in the domestic and international house scene, including Gilles Peterson and DJ Harvey.
